Restoration:

You don't have to give circumcisors the last word.

For years circumcised men have been finding ways to undo the damage of circumcision. They have been forced to work largely in isolation with little information or outside help. It seems likely that many more gave up or never started, believing it to be an impossible task. Even today the possibility is not widely known, and a general reluctance to talk about sexual matters makes it difficult to find information. In addition, a widespread prejudice in America in favor of circumcision persuades many that the circumcised state is desirable and anyone seeking to reverse it must be a little bonkers. That combined with the reasonable belief that a surgical operation performed years ago, most likely in infancy, is irrevesible serves as a powerful deterrent to seeking such reversal.

Thanks to the Internet and the availability of modern materials the situation has changed. There are organizations and websites devoted to the subject of foreskin restoration. There is also at least one mailing list devoted to the concerns of men wishing to restore their foreskins. These electronic resources allow the searcher to find out what he wants to know in a semi-private way. The fact that others with similar interests are widely scattered becomes less important. The purpose of this page is to provide the browser curious enough to have got this far with links to such sites, and to encourage anyone who wishes he had never been circumcised to take matters into his own hands.

While it is true that the lost tissue can never be regenerated, it's function can be replicated. And the experience of men who are restoring or have restored their foreskins is that this replication of function makes a positive difference both in their sex lives, and in the way they feel about themselves and see the world.
