Each of the three leagues is made
up of minor teams and major teams.
The Major League
consists of skilled and experienced 10, 11 and 12 year olds. Selection on
a Major team is made through the draft system. Player
evaluations are held in February.
Minor League Baseball
includes three levels, A, AA, and AAA, and is for seven through twelve year
olds. Selection on AAA and AA levels is made based on
player evaluations which are held in February.
AAA Minors consists
primarily of 10, 11 and 12 year olds who have not yet attained the experience
or skill to participate in the major league.
AA Minors consists
primarily of nine year olds. Players are first introduced to a pitched
ball by another player. Batting and fielding is emphasized at this level.
A Minors consists
primarily of eight year olds. Batting and fielding are primary goals.
Introduction to pitched balls is made through coach pitch.
