Fairfax Little League is a nonprofit organization. All expenses are paid for by monies received from registration, fundraising activities, sponsors, boosters, and snack bar revenues. Last season, the average cost for a child to participate in the league was $125.00, although the participation fee is much less.  In addition, we need volunteers to help coordinate our fundraising activities. Visit the Volunteer page to find out how you can offer your assistance. thxthumbs.gif (3909 bytes)

Participation Fee

The participation fee requested from each family is $25 for Challenger, $55 for T-Ball, $60 for Minors and Majors, and $65 for Juniors. In return, each child participating will receive: Secondary insurance coverage, a game jersey (which is kept by the child below the Major League level), hats (kept by all participants), participation memento, Opening Day Booklet, and a lot of fun. Team and individual awards are presented at the end of the season, based on records in the Majors and tournaments for the Minors. For those youngsters playing in the catcher's position, we provide full protective gear (chest protector, shin guards, supporter and cup, mask, helmet, and catcher's mitt). Other team equipment provided includes bats, helmets and baseballs.

Candy Bar Fundraiser

A candy bar fundraiser is conducted at the beginning of the season for Challenger, T-Ball & A teams. Candy bars will be distributed on April 6th at Chilcott Field, with sales continuing for five weeks. Each youngster is expected to sell at least one case of candy bars (fifty bars).

Bat-A-Thon Fundraiser

The AA, AAA, Majors & Junior League players will participate in a Bat-A-Thon as the fundraiser for their divisions. The top teams will receive a trip to a Bowie Bay Sox game. A separate information page on the Bat-A-Thon fundraiser will be available soon on this site!  To find helpful information about what a Bat-a-thon is and how it works, visit the John Benko Bat-a-thon web site.

The Bat-A-Thon will be held at Jermantown on May 17-19. Players and their families solicit people to sponsor the player and their team. Some people give flat donations, most make pledges, such as one cent per point. Each team is assigned a time slot on Bat-A-Thon day. Each player receives a set number of pitches from a pitching machine. After the Bat-A-Thon, players and families go back to their sponsors and collect their pledges.  Players will have the opportunity to earn awards and prizes which will be presented at an Award Ceremony on June 18th at Chilcott Field.

Each coach must recruit a Bat-A-Thon Coordinator for their Team.  Volunteer to be a Bat-A-Thon Team Coordinator.  The coordinators' duties are not difficult, but they are very important to the success of the program.

Team Sponsors

Team sponsors are a continuing source of revenue for the Fairfax Little League.  Local businesses contribute over $10,000 each year to our program.  We ask that you reciprocate with your patronage whenever possible.  Visit our Sponsor Page to obtain information on our current team sponsors.

Snack Bars

All proceeds from the snack bars are used for Little League activities.  Not only do the Snack Bars provide funds, they are a source of first aid supplies and emergency telephone service.  We hope that you will support the Snack Bars.  To contact the Snack Bars in the event of an emergency:
