How
to Become a Sponsor
Business sponsorships are a critical part of
the overall financial support necessary for a successful season for the
approximately 1,500 players and their families of the Fairfax Little League. In
addition to helping provide uniforms and equipment, sponsorship support in 1999
helped the Fairfax Little League replace the unsafe bleachers at Chilcott
Stadium, install field lights on two diamonds at the Thaiss Park (Pickett)
facility and helped fund the Safety program which resulted in the Fairfax
Little League being selected as the 1999 National Award Winner of the Little
League ASAP "Best Safety Program." For the 2002 season, your support
will helped fund the batting cage at Burke Field and a combination
bull-pen/batting cage at Pickett Field.
By sponsoring a team your business will gain
visibility with and support from the families and friends of the Fairfax Little
League. When you sponsor a team, your business name is printed on the back of
team jerseys. It also appears on the team banner (that hangs on the dugout
during games) and your business is listed in the 2002 Yearbook, the Fairfax
Little League News Letter and the Fairfax Little League Web Site. In addition,
our Web Site can include links to your Web Site if you so desire. We also have
the ability and desire to post Company Logo's. At the end of the season, you
will receive a plaque of appreciation with a team picture for display in your
business.
I am pleased to report that the Sponsors
Banner program introduced last season was very successful thanks to those of
you who opted for the banner. The program will be continued and hopefully
expanded this year. Go by either Chilcott Stadium or Burke Field and see your
companies name flying high or see what your company could have with a banner
and then sign-up for one.
